The "ADD ONS" are outrageous. The fact that a queen size bed costs $150 to receive and another $25 to $30 to deliver is outrageous and if you have multiple pieces can equate to more than you would pay for several pieces of furniture. Chicago....there has to be a better alternative. I am in Chicag...
On time, careful with furniture (wrapped sofa and bed), straight to home, unloaded in extreme heat with no complaints. They are affordable, friendly movers. Was recommended by a friend and would recommend them to a friend.
We used Affordable Moving Company when our Gold Coast condo sold and our new place was under renovation. They picked up our belongings and put in storage. Unfortunately with the Covid19 Pandemic and quarantine, our renovation was on hold for a few months. When we finally moved into our new place...
If I could give these people no stars I would. I have called two times to set up a reservation to move my stuff and they never call me back. When I call to ask a second time they still said their computers are down. Seems like business is really well for this company so they don't need my patronage...
I have used Affordable Moving Company three times and have had excellent experiences with each local move (2001, 2014, and 2019.) There movers are rude!! They also damage property and don't take responsibility for it. We also caught one of the movers wandering around our building.
